Cameron’s first book, The Laws of Return, was published by William Morrow in 1996 while he was working as litigation counsel at CBS. His non-fiction account of his life as a law firm associate, Double Billing: A Young Lawyer’s Tale of Greed, Sex, Lies, and a Swivel Chair, was also published by Morrow in 1998. His second work of non-fiction, Dinner with Dad, about the year he spent cooking dinner with and for his family, was published by Random House in 2007 and optioned for television by 3Arts Entertainment. In 2011, Sourcebooks published his first YA novel, the dystopian thriller The Water Wars. In 2013, his non-fiction book about the 1970s and the running boom, Kings of the Road, was published by Houghton Mifflin and named best book of the year by Track & Field Writers of America. His most recent book is The Curve, a humorous novel about a third rate law school, co-written with Jeremy Blachman, which was acquired for television by NBC. Currently, he is working on a sequel to The Water Wars, as well as a novel based on the Madoff scandal and set in his hometown of Roslyn, NY.

Meet Cameron

Cameron Stracher is the author of six books of fiction and non-fiction. A graduate of Amherst College, Harvard Law School, and the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, he has taught and practices media law, and written for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, among many other publications. He is married with two children and two very mischievous dogs.
